The "true" Moccasin

"Moccasin" is a word that has been hijacked over the years as a generic name for a loafer with a raise seam on the apron however a "true" Moccasin is a very special type of shoe.  Probably the first form of shoe ever made, a moccasin is made by wrapping a piece of leather under the last and then stitching an apron on the top to hold it together.  Grenson moccasins are actually hand stitched on the last which is a sign of the very best quality, and is extremely rare in this age of mass production.
