About Us

Shickle Shoes shop in Burham-On-Sea, Somerset.
Established in 1951, Shickle Shoes, the original company behind the footwear4you.co.uk website, was the West Country's premier quality footwear store. Located in the delightful coastal resort of Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset since 1966,  customers from all over the UK and overseas have visited the store.  Unfortunately, economic reality has led to the closure of the retail shop of Shickle Shoes Limited.  Footwear4you Limited  continue to offer a wide range of footwear over the internet through their website.

You can now order your shoes online from the comfort of your home or office with complete confidence and security. We are the largest online retailer of the two most important European Comfort Casual brands Rohde and Mephisto for whom we are the UK's Preferred Internet Partner.

At footwear4you.co.uk we value feedback from our customers. Please feel free to contact us at any time with your comments and suggestions - even criticisms, it is all valued and important to us that our reputation  is of the highest standard at all times.

Although the business had built up a reputation predominantly upon the success of its store we identified that the internet was a most important addition, not only for our customers, but for the long-term success of the business. We are very proud that the website has become a well established brand on the internet in terms of the brands that it specialises in and this was reflected by us achieving a runners up position after none other than retail giant ASOS themselves in the prestigious Drapers eTailer of the Year Awards, only a year following the launch of the website.

We trust that you have a great experience on our website and return to us in the not too distant future.

The Lighthouse

The lighthouse pictured on the home page of our website, with kind permission from Tony Howell www.tonyhowell.co.uk, is the lower lighthouse situated on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset built in 1832. It is no longer functional but is a familiar sight to all who have lived and visited the coastal town. More of the history of this building and interesting facts regarding Burnham-on-Sea can be obtained by visiting www.burnham-on-sea.com.
